A pop-up is a small window that appears on top of the page you are reading. It pops up, so we call it a pop-up.
Some pop-ups are helpful. They might ask you to agree to something or sign in.
Many pop-ups are just ads or junk. It is fine to close those. You will not break anything by closing one.
Try this
- Look for a small "X" in a corner of the pop-up.
- Click or tap the "X" to close it.
- If you do not see an "X", you can close the whole page and open it again.
