What does "a pop-up" mean on screen?
You will learn what a pop-up is and how to handle it.
A pop-up is a box or window that appears over a page. It may show an ad or ask a question.
Some pop-ups are normal. Others pretend to be a warning from your device. Read before acting.
Try this
- Pause before pressing anything inside an unexpected warning.
- Do not type passwords into a pop-up you did not expect.
- For a suspicious warning, close the browser tab with the browser controls.
- If it will not close, use your device help to quit the browser.
Buddy says
Closing a tab can lose unsaved work. It does not undo details or money you already sent.
