What does it mean to upload something?
You will understand uploading and feel ready to share a file.
To upload means to send a file from your device to a website. It is the opposite of download.
You might upload a photo, a letter, or a form. You are giving the site a copy.
With ChatGPT, you can upload a file so it can help with it. Like a photo you have a question about.
Uploading is normal and safe on sites you trust. Take your time.
Try this
- Look for a button with a plus sign or a paperclip.
- Click it to open your files.
- Find and choose the file you want to send.
- Wait a moment while it uploads.
A message you can copy
I uploaded a photo. Can you tell me what it shows in simple words?
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.
Buddy says
Only upload files you are comfortable sharing on that website.
