A login or password-reset code can give access to an account. Do not relay it in response to an unexpected call or message.
You may need to enter a code in a sign-in flow you started yourself. Read the code message and its warnings.
If you did not start the request, leave it alone and check the account through its known site.

- Do not reply with the code.
- Read which account the code is for.
- Open the real account site yourself.
- Check security activity if you did not request the code.
- If you shared it, secure the account and contact the provider promptly.
