How to tell ChatGPT who the answer is for

You will learn that naming your reader helps ChatGPT fit the answer.

2 min read Always free

ChatGPT does not know who will read your words. So it guesses.

If you tell it who the reader is, the answer fits much better.

You can say it is for a child, a friend, or your boss. That is all it needs.

Try this
  1. Think about who will read or hear the answer.
  2. Tell ChatGPT who that person is.
  3. Ask it to write the answer for that person.
A message you can copy

Please write this so a 10 year old can understand it. Use simple, kind words.

Paste it into ChatGPT, then change the words in brackets to fit you. It opens in a new tab, so you will not lose this page.
