How to tell ChatGPT exactly what you want
You will add a few clear details so ChatGPT gives the answer you wanted.
A short question gets a general answer. A clear one gets a useful answer.
Add a few details. Who is it for? How long? What for?
These small details point ChatGPT in the right direction. You get a better fit.
You do not need fancy words. Just be clear about what you need.
Try this
- Start with your basic question.
- Add who it is for and what it is for.
- Say how long or how short you want it.
- Read the answer. If it is still off, add one more detail.
A message you can copy
I need help with [your topic]. It is for [who or what], and I want it to be [short or long]. Can you help?
Paste it into ChatGPT, then change the words in brackets to fit you. It opens in a new tab, so you will not lose this page.

If an answer feels off-target, the fix is usually one more clear detail.
