Long answers can feel like a lot. The good news is you can ask for less.

ChatGPT listens to how you ask. Just tell it you want it short.

You can ask for a few sentences, or simple words, or a short list.

If an answer is still too long, ask again. You can shape it your way.

Try this
  1. Type your question as normal.
  2. Add a request like keep it short, please.
  3. Send your message.
  4. If it is still long, reply with make it even shorter.
A message you can copy

Please explain [your topic] in three short sentences with simple words.

Paste it into ChatGPT, then change the words in brackets to fit you. It opens in a new tab, so you will not lose this page.

You can ask for a short list too. Lists are easy to read and follow.
