How to tell ChatGPT what you do not want

You will learn to tell ChatGPT to skip the parts you do not need.

2 min read Always free

Sometimes ChatGPT adds extra stuff you did not ask for. That can feel like too much.

You can tell it what to leave out. Just name the part you do not want.

It is fine to be plain. Say skip this or do not include that.

Try this
  1. Look at the answer and find the extra part.
  2. Tell ChatGPT what to drop.
  3. Ask it to try again without that part.
A message you can copy

Please answer this again, but leave out the long intro. Just give me the main steps.

Paste it into ChatGPT, then change the words in brackets to fit you. It opens in a new tab, so you will not lose this page.
