How to spot a fake ChatGPT account email

You will learn to tell a real account email from a scam.

2 min read Always free

Many scam emails pretend to be from companies you use. ChatGPT is one of them.

Be careful if an email rushes you or warns of a problem. Fear is the trick they use.

Do not click links in the email. Instead, type chatgpt.com yourself and log in to check.

Real companies will never ask for your password by email. That request is always a scam.

Try this
  1. Do not click any link or button in the email.
  2. Look at the sender address. Fakes often have odd spelling.
  3. Open chatgpt.com by typing it yourself to check your account.
  4. If unsure, delete the email. A real message can wait.
