Where did my old ChatGPT chat go?
Check the account, search, and archive before you give up.
A missing chat may be in another account or in the archive. It may also have been temporary or deleted.
You may not be able to get it back. Start by checking where you saved it.
Try this
- Check that you are in the same account and workspace as before.
- Open the chat list.
- Use its Search option, if shown. Try an exact word from the chat.
- Open likely matches and read a few messages.
- Check archived chats in Settings. In the desktop app, Unarchive puts a chat back in the list.
Buddy says
Do not delete or clear chats while you are trying to find one.
