What does "log out" or "sign out" mean?

To log out means to close your account on a device. It is the same as sign out. They mean the same thing.
When you log out, your name and chats are tucked away. The next person who uses the device cannot see them.
This matters most when you share a phone or computer. On your own private device, you can stay logged in. That is fine and safe.
Try this
- Find your name or photo on the screen, often in a corner.
- Tap or click it to open a small menu.
- Look for "Log out" or "Sign out" and tap it.
