Is it okay to tell ChatGPT my problems?

You will learn to use AI for support while keeping your life private.

3 min read Always free

It is fine to talk things through with ChatGPT. Many people find it calming.

It can help you sort your thoughts or find gentle words. That can feel good.

But it is not a person, a friend, or a doctor. It cannot truly know or care for you.

For real worries, reach out to a person you trust. A friend, family, or a doctor can help in ways AI cannot.

Try this
  1. Use AI to put feelings into words or plan a hard talk.
  2. Leave out private details like full names or addresses.
  3. Remember it is a tool, not a person who knows you.
  4. For deep worries, talk to a real, trusted person.
A message you can copy

I am feeling worried about [your topic]. Can you help me sort out my thoughts in a calm way?

Paste it into ChatGPT, then change the words in brackets to fit you. It opens in a new tab, so you will not lose this page.
