It is okay to ask ChatGPT about health in general. You can learn what a word means or what a symptom might be.

But ChatGPT is not a doctor. It can be wrong. So use it to understand, not to decide.

You do not need to share your full name or address. You can ask in a general way and still get a helpful answer.

Try this
  1. Ask your question in plain words, like you would a friend.
  2. Leave out your name, address, and exact birth date.
  3. Take what you learn to your doctor or nurse.
  4. Ask the doctor to explain anything that still feels unclear.
A message you can copy

I keep hearing the word [your topic] at my doctor visits. Can you explain what it means in simple words? Please list a few questions I could ask my doctor about it.

Paste it into ChatGPT, then change the words in brackets to fit you. It opens in a new tab, so you will not lose this page.
