Turn a short clause into questions before you sign.
ChatGPT can help explain words in a contract. A summary may miss an exception elsewhere in the full document. It cannot confirm that a clause is lawful or right for you.
Use a made-up clause first. A rule about a setup fee does not tell you all later costs or how to leave the deal.
Read the full terms and ask for unclear promises in writing. For a choice that affects your rights, get help from a qualified local adviser.
- Paste the sample clause into ChatGPT.
- Check that the reply keeps the fee and start condition.
- Mark anything the sample does not say as unknown.
- Check real terms and unresolved questions before signing.
Sample clause: 'A $30 setup fee is due when service starts.' Explain it in two short sentences. List what it does not say about monthly fees or ending the service. Do not give a legal verdict.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.
Leave private details out of a chat. Keep your own copy of the full signed terms.
