Can AI help me cut my grocery spending?
Compare food prices before you change your shopping list.
ChatGPT can help compare prices you supply. It may get store prices wrong if it guesses them. Start with two foods you would use and can eat.
For example, one rice bag is $3 for 1 kg. Another is $5 for 2 kg. The larger bag costs $2.50 per kg, but costs more today.
Check the shelf label and your budget. A larger pack helps only if you can afford it, store it and use it.
- Copy the sample into ChatGPT.
- Check both prices per kg with a calculator.
- Use current prices and the same units for a real comparison.
- Check food labels and any allergy needs before making a swap.
Compare these sample rice prices: $3 for 1 kg or $5 for 2 kg. Show the cost per kg and the cost today. Do not assume I can use the larger bag.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.

Choose foods you will eat. A low unit price alone does not make a useful buy.
