What are all these little numbers on my receipt?
Check a receipt's items, discounts and total.
A receipt may include item prices, discounts, tax and payments. Store codes can mean different things. Ask the store if a code affects a charge you do not understand.
ChatGPT can show sample math. Items of $8 and $5 make $13. A $2 discount gives $11. Adding $1 in stated tax makes $12.
Match each item and price to what you bought. Check the payment total and any change or refund. Keep the original receipt.
- Paste the sample into ChatGPT.
- Check each step and the final $12 total.
- Review your own receipt against the purchase.
- Ask the store about errors using the receipt. Keep payment details out of chat.
