How do I find a chat I had with ChatGPT before?
Search for a past chat without changing it.
If a chat was saved to your account, you can look for it in the chat list.
Temporary, deleted, or other-account chats may not appear. Do not assume a missing chat is still saved.
Try this
- Sign in to the account you used before.
- Open the chat list with the menu or sidebar control.
- Try a word from the chat in Search, if shown.
- Open a match and read it to check it is the right chat.
- Check archived chats in Settings if the list does not show it.

A clear chat title makes it easier to find later.
