How to ask for step-by-step instructions
You will learn how to make ChatGPT break things into easy steps.
If you got one big blob of text, that is easy to fix.
Just ask for steps. ChatGPT can lay things out one at a time.
You can also ask for small, simple steps with no hard words.
Try this
- Reply and ask: please put this in simple steps, one at a time.
- Ask for numbered steps if you like a clear order.
- If a step is unclear, ask ChatGPT to explain just that one.
A message you can copy
Can you give me simple, numbered steps for [your topic]? Keep each step short and easy to follow.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.
Buddy says
Asking for numbered steps makes long answers much easier to follow.
