How to ask ChatGPT for the answer as a list
You will learn to ask for a simple list that is easy to scan.
A long paragraph can be hard to read. The points blur together.
You can ask ChatGPT to use a list instead. One point per line.
Lists are easier on the eyes. You can scan them and find what you need.
Try this
- Ask your question.
- Add: please give the answer as a list.
- Ask for short lines if you want it even simpler.
A message you can copy
Please answer this as a short, simple list with one point per line: [your question].
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.

Lists work great for steps, choices, or things to remember.
