ChatGPT stopped typing halfway through. What do I do?
You will learn how to make ChatGPT finish a cut-off answer.
Sometimes ChatGPT stops in the middle of an answer. The text just ends. This is normal and easy to fix.
Usually the answer was too long. It ran out of room. You do not need to start over.
Just ask it to keep going. It will pick up where it stopped.
Try this
- Look at where the answer cut off.
- Type the word continue in the box.
- Press Enter or the send button.
- Read the new part that appears.
- Scroll up to see the whole answer together.
A message you can copy
Please continue from where you stopped. Pick up right after [last few words you can see].
Paste it into ChatGPT, then change the words in brackets to fit you. It opens in a new tab, so you will not lose this page.
