What does "prompt" mean when people talk about AI?
Learn what a prompt is, with a simple example to copy.
A prompt is just the message or question you type to ChatGPT. That is all it is.
When people say "write a prompt," they mean "type what you want." You do not need special words.
You can talk in plain language. Ask it like you would ask a kind helper.
Try this
- Click or tap the message box at the bottom.
- Type your question in normal words.
- Press send and wait for the answer.
A message you can copy
Please explain [your topic] to me in simple words, like I am new to this.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.
Buddy says
A good prompt is just a clear question. You already know how to ask questions.
