A tab is one open web page. It sits along the top of your screen.
You can have a few tabs open at once. Each one holds a different page.
Think of tabs like papers on a desk. You click one to bring it to the front.
Too many tabs can feel busy. You can close any you are done with.
Try this
- Look at the top edge of your browser.
- You may see small boxes in a row. Those are your tabs.
- Click a tab to switch to that page.
- Click the little X on a tab to close it.
