What the thumbs up and down buttons do
Choose whether to rate a reply.
A thumbs-up or thumbs-down option may appear near a reply. It lets you give feedback.
Feedback is optional. It does not prove that an answer is true, or fix the reply for you.
Try this
- Read the reply and decide whether you want to rate it.
- Open its feedback option, if shown.
- Read what will be shared before you submit.
- Keep private details out of your feedback note.
- To change the answer, send a separate follow-up that says what was wrong.

Buddy says
You can skip feedback and ask for a clearer answer.
