The pencil lets you fix your question
Fix a question without losing track of what changed.
An Edit option may appear beside a sent question or in its menu. It can create a new version of the chat.
If you cannot find Edit, send a follow-up that says what to change. You do not need to hunt for a pencil.
Try this
- Find the question you want to fix.
- Copy any reply you want to keep first.
- Choose Edit if it is shown. Check the new words before sending.
- Or send: 'I meant Tuesday, not Thursday. Please revise your answer.'
- Read the new reply and check that it used your change.

Editing a sent message is not a way to erase all copies of what you shared.
