How do I type quietly without keyboard clicks?
Turn off typing sounds in the right keyboard settings.
Keyboard sounds come from your phone or keyboard app. ChatGPT does not control them.
Use the steps for the keyboard you have. Turning off sound need not turn off vibration.
Try this
- On iPhone with iOS 16 or later, open Settings, then Sounds & Haptics.
- Choose Keyboard Feedback and turn Sound off.
- On Android with Gboard, open your phone settings and find Gboard's settings.
- Choose Preferences. Under Key press, turn Sound on keypress off.
- For another keyboard, open its own sound settings.
- Return to a text box and type a few words to check.
