Stopping a reply does not undo an action already taken by a connected tool. These steps are for a text answer.
Try this
- Look near the message box for Stop while the reply runs.
- Choose it once and wait for the reply to stop.
- Read any text already shown.
- Ask for a shorter version of the part you need.
- If a tool was working too, check its status before you assume it stopped.

Please give me just the main point about [topic] in two short sentences.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.
