How do I save an answer from ChatGPT that I want to keep?
Keep a private copy you can open again.
A saved note is useful for an answer you need later. An open chat tab is not a backup.
A screenshot may show only part of a long answer. Copying text can keep more of it.
Try this
- Choose the reply's Copy option, or select the text and copy it.
- Open a private note or document.
- Paste the text. Add a clear title and the date.
- Check that the full answer is there, including any source links.
- Save it, then reopen the note to check it.
