Where to type your question into ChatGPT
Find the message box on a new or open chat.
The message box is where you write to ChatGPT. On a new page, it may be in the middle. In an open chat, it is often near the bottom.
Faint words inside the box are a hint. You can click or tap there to type.
Try this
- Open ChatGPT and choose Chat if you see a mode choice.
- Find the empty box for a message.
- Click or tap inside it and type one question.
- Read your words, then choose Send.
- Look for your question in the chat, followed by the reply.
A message you can copy
I am new to ChatGPT. Tell me one small thing I can try today. Use plain words.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.
Buddy says
If you cannot see the box, close an open side panel and return to the chat.
