How do I get ChatGPT to answer in another language?
Ask for a reply in a language you choose.
You can name the language you want ChatGPT to use. It may still make word or meaning errors.
Changing the reply language does not change the app's menus.
Try this
- Ask your question.
- Add the language you want the reply in.
- Ask for plain words if that helps.
- Check the reply with a fluent reader when the meaning matters.
- Ask to switch back when you want another language.
A message you can copy
Please answer this question in [language], using plain words: [question]. Keep names and numbers as I wrote them.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.
