How do I cancel ChatGPT if I paid by mistake?
Cancel future renewals through the place that billed you. A refund is a separate request.
Check your receipt to see who billed you: ChatGPT, Apple, or Google Play.
Cancel through that same place. Deleting the app does not cancel the plan.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing date. Paid access usually lasts to the end of the period you paid for.
Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not refund past charges by itself.
Try this
- For a web purchase, open ChatGPT settings and the plan or billing controls.
- For Apple or Google Play, open that store account and its subscriptions.
- Choose ChatGPT, then cancel and finish the confirmation steps.
- Check that renewal is off. Keep the confirmation and end date.
