How to ask ChatGPT to slow down and explain each part
You will ask ChatGPT to take its time and explain each piece.
Did the answer feel too fast? Like it skipped steps? That is common. You can fix it.
Just ask ChatGPT to go slower. Tell it to explain each part one piece at a time. It will happily do that.
There is no rush here. You can ask it to slow down as many times as you need.
Try this
- Tell ChatGPT the last answer felt too fast.
- Ask it to go slower and explain each step.
- Ask it to wait for you before moving on.
- Take one piece at a time.
A message you can copy
That went a bit fast for me. Please explain it again, slowly, one step at a time. Wait for me to say I am ready before the next step.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.
Buddy says
It never gets tired of going slow, so ask as often as you like.
