How to ask ChatGPT what it meant by that
You will point at one confusing line and ask for a clearer one.
One sentence in the answer made no sense. That is fine. It happens.
You can point right at that line. Paste it back and ask what it means. ChatGPT will explain it in plain words.
You do not have to understand the whole thing at once. Clear up one fuzzy part, then move on.
Try this
- Copy the line that confused you.
- Paste it back into the chat.
- Ask ChatGPT to say it in simpler words.
- Ask again if it is still unclear.
A message you can copy
This part confused me: "[paste the confusing line here]". Can you explain what that means in very simple words?
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.

Pasting the exact line helps ChatGPT know just what you mean.
