A video can look very real and still be fake. Computers can now make false videos.

These are sometimes called deepfakes. They can put words in someone's mouth.

So looking real is not proof. The trick is to pause before you believe or share it.

If a video shocks you or asks for money, be extra careful. That is a common warning sign.

Try this
  1. Pause and notice how the video makes you feel.
  2. Look for the same story on a trusted news site.
  3. Be careful if it asks for money or quick action.
  4. When unsure, do not share it on.
