A fake app can copy a name or logo and say it is free. Ads and star ratings can mislead you too.

Type chatgpt.com in your browser. For a phone app, use the store link from that real site.

Read the address before you sign in. Pause at a request to pay, get a file, or give access. Check what it means first.

Keep passwords and sign-in codes out of AI chats.
