Join a video call someone sent you

Let us go through this together, one little step at a time.

Tap each step once you have done it. Nothing is timed. Pause and check before sending, deleting, or agreeing to anything.

1. 1Confirm the invitation with the person using a saved number if you were not expecting it.
2. 2Open the text message or email they sent you.
3. 3Find the link. It is usually blue.
4. 4Tap or click the blue link one time.
5. 5It may open an app. Or it may ask to open in your web browser. Either way is fine.
6. 6Tap to continue.
7. 7If you see a Join button, tap it. Some calls join you right away.
8. 8If it asks to use your camera and microphone, tap Allow. This lets your friend see and hear you.
9. 9If a box asks for your name, type any name you like.
10. 10Then tap continue. Some calls skip this step, so do not worry if you never see it.
11. 11Wait a moment. The person may need to let you in. That is normal.
12. 12When you are done, look for the red button to hang up. It is usually round. It may have a little phone on it, or it may say Leave.
13. 13Tap the red button to leave.
