What is a "password"?
Learn what a password does.
A password helps an account check that it is you. It is one part of keeping the account safe.
Use a long password you do not use elsewhere. A password manager can make and save it.
Someone with your signed-in device may get in without typing the password.
Try this
- Use a password manager for real passwords.
- Use a new password for each account.
- Keep it out of AI and messages.
- Add an extra sign-in check if you can.
- Sign out on shared devices.
A message you can copy
Explain why using one password on many accounts is risky.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.

A password shown in a lesson or chat is not a secret you should use.
