As needed means use for the stated need under your care plan. You may need it on more than one day. It still has dose and timing limits.
The label and care plan should tell you when to use it, how much, and any limits. Ask if those details are unclear.

- Ask which need or symptom the medicine is for.
- Check the amount and the minimum gap between doses.
- Ask about the maximum amount and how long to use it.
- Ask when frequent use or poor relief means you should call.
