How do I understand a diet my doctor suggested?
Start with your care team's exact plan and ask about unclear parts.
A diet name may cover a range of advice. Your own plan may also depend on your health, medicines and test results.
Ask the team what to change, how much and for how long. Keep the original plan. ChatGPT can help draft questions but cannot decide which diet you need.
For example, 'eat less salt' leaves room for a useful question: 'Which foods should I change first? Do I have a daily limit?'
- Mark the word or step you do not understand.
- Keep names, contact details and private records out of an AI chat.
- Ask for the term's plain meaning or help writing a question.
- Check the reply against the plan. Ask the care team to resolve any gap or change.
Help me write three short questions for a care team. Their example advice is 'eat less salt.' Ask which foods to change first, whether there is a set limit, and how long to follow the plan. Do not choose a limit.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.

An AI reply is not a new care plan. Ask the team before changing a limit or leaving out a food they told you to eat.
