Find the unclear part and ask the care team what it means for you.
A health letter may contain test findings, a plan, or a request to book a visit. Read the whole letter for actions and dates.
For an unclear term, you can check a public guide or ask the sender. An AI explanation can be wrong or miss the surrounding context.
Keep the full letter for your care team. Removing names does not make a private health record anonymous.
- Keep the original letter in a private place.
- Mark the unclear word, action, or date.
- Check whether the letter asks you to act by a certain time.
- Ask the sender to explain the part you marked.
- Write down the answer and next step; keep them with the letter.
