How to sort your to-do list so you know what comes first
Choose task order using deadlines and real needs.
Tell ChatGPT which tasks have firm deadlines and how long each may take. It can suggest an order, but it cannot know which private need matters most to you.
Sample: return a call before noon; tidy a drawer any time. Put the call first. Do not choose the drawer just because it seems easy.
Check the plan against real deadlines, travel and other commitments. Keep uncertain tasks on the list. If the work will not fit, decide what can move.
- Try the sample in ChatGPT.
- Check the deadline task comes first.
- Add rough times and any important dependencies to your own list.
- Choose a first task after checking the proposed order.
Sample tasks: return a call before noon; tidy a drawer any time. It is 11 am. Which should come first, and why? Task lengths are unknown. Do not claim both can be finished by noon.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.

A useful priority list makes missing time clear rather than hiding it.
