How do I make a checklist before I leave for vacation?
Plan ahead, then check your home as you leave.
ChatGPT can sort tasks into two groups: before a trip and as you leave. Use general tasks. Keep your address, alarm code and dates away from home private.
Ask someone to care for pets and deal with mail in good time. Check doors and windows as you leave. A check the night before may be out of date.
Go through the plan with the people you live with. Follow each device guide and care plan. A list cannot check your home or prove that a helper has agreed.
- Paste the sample into ChatGPT.
- Check that pet care comes early and locks are checked as you leave.
- Add your own tasks in private. Make sure each helper agrees.
- Use the list as you leave. Tick a task only when it is done.
Sort these sample tasks into Before the trip and As I leave: agree pet care with a sitter; ask someone to take in mail; check doors and windows. Do not invent alarm settings or dates.
Paste the message into ChatGPT, then fill in any blanks before you send it. ChatGPT opens in a new tab. Opening it does not send the message.
Ask each helper to agree to their tasks. A name on a list is not enough.
