Read the times as periods

Different start times can still clash.

A time slot is a period, not always a whole hour. A task from 10 to 10:45 can overlap one starting at 10:30.

Keep the source list and time limits beside the plan. You need both to check what fits and what went missing.

Use the sample here. You do not need to share a real calendar or private appointment details.

Four useful checks

Check the whole plan, not just equal start times.

Compare the start and end of tasks that need your attention. Mark any overlap. A task ending at 10:30 may still need a travel gap before the next starts.

Count the time needed for tasks, travel and breaks. Compare it with the windows you chose. Mark overload instead of squeezing work into a smaller slot.

Compare every source task with the plan. A task that was left out is still work to decide about; it is not finished.

Check all four kinds of trouble

Find the clash and the work that does not fit.

Made-up source tasks: walk the dog, library trip, groceries and mail a card. Plan: Monday dog walk 9 to 9:30 a.m.; library trip 9:15 to 10 a.m.; Friday groceries 1 to 2 p.m. The Monday tasks need separate attention. Friday has only 1 to 2 p.m. free. Groceries take 60 minutes and mailing the card takes 15 more. Travel and breaks are not included. Check whether mailing the card could fit beside Friday’s groceries.
