Choose a list with a clear purpose.

You can use the moving case here or a small list you need. Choose a task you can check against a source.

Good examples include a shelf list, a party packing list or a moving list. For a shared event, confirm who offered to bring each item.

Keep private contact details out. You can use labels such as Guest A when names are not needed. Check that the remaining details are safe to share.

From source to usable draft

Leave choices with the person who owns them.

Keep a source copy. Say what to do, provide the notes and choose a form. Give rules for groups and any changes.

For keep, donate or toss, supply the owner’s choices. An old lamp is not automatically unwanted. A list of object names does not tell AI what to throw away.

If a choice is open, mark it To decide. Do not hide the gap or force it into one of the other groups.

Compare every output entry with the source. Correct all missing, added and changed details. Then compare the full result again.

A checked list is still a plan. It does not mean that boxes are packed, items are donated or tasks are done.
