ChatGPT is fast, but it is not perfect. It can drop an item. It can add one you never wrote. It can list the same thing twice.

So you hold the new list next to your real notes. Your own notes are the boss here. The list is not.

One habit keeps you safe. Take out the private parts first. That means no full names, no phone numbers, and no home addresses.

The four checks

You look for four small things.

Checking a list sounds hard. It is not. It is four quick looks. Each look catches one kind of slip:

Countcount your notes, then count the list. Do the two numbers match?

Droppedis anything from your notes missing on the list?

Made upis anything on the list that you never wrote?

Doubledis anything on the list written twice, even spelled a little bit differently?

Then you fix it. Add back what dropped. Cut what was made up. Clear out the doubles. Now count one more time.

When the count matches your notes, your list is true. You can trust it.
