An AI helper is a free tool that answers what you type, in plain words. The one we use is called ChatGPT.

Open it now. Type chatgpt.com in your browser, the box at the top of the screen. Or tap the app if it is on your phone. If it asks you to sign in, that is normal. The free plan is fine, and you will not be charged.

You cannot break anything here. There is no wrong button. If you get stuck, you can always close it and start again.

The first move

Sort one thing into two piles.

Before you post or send something, you stop for a moment. Then you sort it.

Some details are safe for anyone to see. Some you keep back.

Here are four kinds of details to keep private:

Who you areyour full name and birth date

How to get your moneybank, card, or account details

One rule keeps it simple: when in doubt, leave it out.

Use this for a post, a message, a form, or a photo. For money, health, legal, account, or safety matters, ask a real person you trust.

A clear request

Here is my sort in general words. Safe to share: a vacation photo and a short review. Keep private: my town and my full name. Did I miss anything that should be kept private? Do not ask me for my real details.

What the AI sends back

Good sort! One thing to watch: your town plus your full name together can show where you live. You could use your first name only and leave the town out. The photo and the review look fine to share.

Notice she gave ChatGPT only general words. No real name, number, or address. ChatGPT helps, but she makes the final call.
