Fix a privacy slip at the right stage

Deal with the message you already sent too.

For a chat you want to remove, use its delete control. Check saved files and memory too; they have separate controls. Use ChatGPT’s help to find the steps for your account.

Deleting a chat does not instantly erase every stored copy. Asking AI to forget a detail is not a full deletion check.

If you exposed a password, change it through the real service’s app or site. Change it on any other account where you reused it. Use the service’s recovery help if you cannot sign in.

If you shared a bank sign-in code or see account misuse, contact the real bank or service promptly through a known route. A cleaned chat does not secure that account.

The new request prepares general questions.

Made-up unsent draft: My card ends in 1234. It shows $84.37 at Greenfield Market on May 7. Tell me what that charge is. Goal: ask the card provider about an unknown charge.

A cleaner message does not erase an earlier one.

Made-up case: a person already sent a chat naming Greenfield Market, March 3 and a $48.20 charge from their account. No password or sign-in code was included. Write a general request without those details, then name what the rewrite does not fix and a next check.
