Read before using

A reply may ask for more than the task needs.

Read the whole reply before using it. Look for private facts it repeats. Also check what it asks you to add.

If a line asks for a password or sign-in code, do not supply it. You can fix the wording without pasting the secret back into the chat.

Two different kinds of detail

An account reference is not a sign-in secret.

A service may need an account or policy number to find your record. A policy number is the number for your insurance plan.

A known official app or site can help you find the real service. Share only what that task needs.

Keep passwords and codes used to sign in to yourself. Do not read them to a caller or put them in an AI chat. Enter a sign-in code only in the real sign-in flow you started.

Do not replace every private detail with “have it ready for a call.” That would be wrong for a password or sign-in code.

Check a complete line

The rewrite removes the request for a policy number.

Made-up draft line: Tell me your policy number so I can finish the letter. Goal: prepare general questions without putting that number in the chat.

Rewrite this draft line: "Tell me your policy number so I can finish the letter." Use two short sentences. Say that general questions can be drafted without the number, and that account checks belong with the insurer through a verified contact route. Ask for no private details.
