Name the AI help you want

Step 1 of 6

Opening your saved place…

Before we start

Let us open one helper together.

ChatGPT is a chat tool with a free plan. You type an ask. It writes a reply.

Open it now. In your browser, type chatgpt.com and press Enter. On a phone, tap the ChatGPT app if you have it.

The free plan is enough for this text task. It may have limits. You can wait if you reach one.

Today we write one small need. Leave private details out. Pause before any payment, download, or access request.

ChatGPT opens in a new tab or window. Keep this lesson open so you can come back.

Buddy says

If your screen looks different, use the official help at help.openai.com. There is no rush.

The first move

Your one helper to start: ChatGPT.

ChatGPT answers questions you type. That is the whole idea. You type, it replies.

We use ChatGPT for this task. You can try it in your phone or computer browser.

Before you type anything, think of one small task you do a lot. A text, a short list, or a quick note. That small task is all you need to bring today.

Buddy says

Do not try to learn fancy words. Just pick one small, real task. That makes the rest easy.

See it work

Watch a fuzzy idea turn into one clear line.

Starting example

I want AI to help me.

Name the task and the screen you will use.

Revised request

I want help writing short, friendly reminder texts on my computer.

An example AI reply

Got it. I can help you write short, friendly reminder texts on your computer. Tell me who the text is for and what you want to remind them about. Then I will write a first draft for you.

The second line names the task and the screen. It gives the tool a clearer starting point.

Your turn, no wrong answers

Write your own one-line need.

Type one line below. Start with the words I want help with. Then name your one task. Add on my phone or on my computer at the end. Keep it short. Leave out anything private, like a password or an account number.

Your practice box, just for you. Your draft saves in this browser. This box is not AI. Leave private details out.

Stuck? Pick the task you do most. A text, a list, or a quick note. Then add the screen you really reach for.

Start with a few words, or look at the example first.

You did it

You named the help you want.

ChatGPT answers questions you type, and you only need this one tool.
Your line names one small task plus the screen you really use.
Leave private details out. Check facts with a trusted source. For health, money, or legal choices, ask a qualified person.

Buddy says

That one little line makes choosing a helper so much easier. I am proud of you. Look how far you came already!
