Last time you sent your first small ask to ChatGPT. Nice work.

Today we clear the snags that stop people before they even type one word.

The most common snag is simple. You cannot find where to type. Or the sign-in keeps looping back.

This happens to almost everyone. It is not your fault. It does not mean you cannot do this.

One safety rule today. Never fix a bank or account login by yourself. For that, ask a real person you trust.

Take a slow breath. Say it with me. Getting stuck at the start is normal.

The first thing to find

Look for the box where you type.

There is one thing you really need: the typing box. Find it, and most stuck moments melt away.

Open ChatGPT. Then look near the bottom of the screen for a long, empty box.

ChatGPT may show different words inside that box. Watch for any of these:

Ask anythingtap inside it

Message ChatGPTtap inside it

Enter a prompt heretap inside it

Tap or click inside that box. Now watch for a thin line that blinks on and off.

That blink means ChatGPT is ready and you can type. Good. That is the hard part done.

See no box at all? Scroll down a little. Still nothing? Close the page, then open ChatGPT again.

If sign-in gets stuck

A few calm fixes clear most sign-ins.

Sign-in is the other common wall. ChatGPT may ask you to log in first.

Try these simple fixes, one at a time, in this order.

First, if the page loops or freezes, close it all the way. Then open ChatGPT again. This alone fixes a lot.

Next, if you have a Gmail, tap the button that says Continue with Google. That way you make no new password at all.

One firm rule. Never type your password into the chat box. Not ever. ChatGPT does not need it.

If a screen asks for more than your email and password, stop. For a bank or account login, ask a real person.
