But sometimes the answer comes back too broad. It feels like it was written for everyone, not for you.

That happens for one reason. ChatGPT does not know one small thing about your day yet.

Here is the good news. The fix is easy. You add a few safe facts, like your time, your place, or your goal.

One rule keeps you safe. Leave out anything private. That means no names, no addresses, no account numbers, and no health or money details. When in doubt, leave it out.

And for any health, money, legal, account, or safety choice, ask a real person too. ChatGPT is a helper, not a stand-in for a doctor, a lawyer, or your bank.

Does a fact feel too personal? Then swap it for a general phrase. Say “a small bill” or “a family event” instead of real names or numbers. The answer still fits, and you stay safe.

It is the same dinner question. But the second ask shares your time and your food. So the answer fits what you can really make tonight, not a fancy meal you cannot cook.
